Keep Mangonui Ataahua

First of all, Mangonui is special place to live, in. Mangonui is named after a big
shark.I want Mangonui rubbish free place.

When you litter on the beach it flies in the sea.Then birds eat the rubbish in the
sea and give it to the baby birds then they die it's sad.

Whales eat big plastic bags.

Whenever plastic goes to Mangonui in the drain and goes to the sea. Mangonui
is a town in Nz and it is a school.same people have litterless lunches.

We want Mangonui Ataahua and we want Mangonui clean and special. All   the
time.We want Mangonui plastic free.

Mangonui is special because place I love to go to school here.  I feel happy
here. Keep it Ataahua, by putting your rubbish in the bin.

Moehuri

Many dark clear nights ago Moehuri went out to sea and
went on his waka. He came from Hawaiki to Mangonui. The
stars were shining like diamonds in the night sky which led him
to land. Before very long, Moehuri did a karakia to the enormous
shark called Mangonui. The giant shark jumped out of the
water and guided him to Mangonui.

There were lots of children at the pa belonging to Moehuri.
They noisily played all over the mare. Eventually Moehuri
sunk his waka and it is a tapu plase. The giant shark lived by
the waka for many years.

Raff the Dog

Me and Kyle like to play with my Mum’s dog Raff. Raff’s fur is warm
and fluffy. The problem is Raff is silly because

he loves chasing cars. Sometime's Raff chases the school bus.
He even chases us, as we arrive home.  Mum angrily points her
finger and says “No Raff, no!” and he still keeps on doing it.
Sometimes mum keeps him on the leash.

But I still love him,no matter how silly he is.

Mangonui Wharf

In the distance, I see the mist floating over the moana.  Clouds look like marshmallows as they drift up and away. I hear peaceful,soft and quiet waves when everyone goes to sleep. Around the corner, two little blue penguins hide in the rock caves, having a beautiful life in summer.

The Octopus

The Octopus 

The octopus pounced like a lion into the hole to eat the pray.  Then the fisherman pulled the rope and then he only had a crab shell. The octopus had sucked the crabs out of their shells like  a machine.  The fisherman was not happy at all.
